Excitement is building around Tulsa King’s future. Paramount+ has already renewed the Sylvester Stallone-led series for a fourth season, even before Season 3 premieres. While the storyline beyond the upcoming chapter remains under wraps, early reports suggest discussions are underway to keep Stallone involved for additional seasons.

Sylvester Stallone-led Tulsa King renewed for Season 4 ahead of Season 3

The announcement came during the Season 3 red carpet in New York, ahead of its September 21 debut on the streamer. Terence Winter will return as head writer and executive producer, while Season 3 showrunner Dave Erickson is stepping down (via Deadline).

Taylor Sheridan created the series, which stars Sylvester Stallone in the lead role. Stallone signed a new deal in November 2024 that secured a two-season extension. Season 4 will reportedly not mark the final chapter, as talks continue for Stallone to extend his contract for additional seasons.

Winter, best known for Boardwalk Empire, ran Tulsa King’s first season. He later returned as head writer in Season 2 while Craig Zisk handled on-set showrunner duties. Erickson took over fully in Season 3 but will now shift his focus to Mayor of Kingstown. He is also stepping away from both Tulsa King and its spinoff NOLA King, which stars Samuel L. Jackson and debuts in Season 3.

The series has posted strong numbers for Paramount+. Season 2’s premiere drew 21.1 million viewers, making it the platform’s most-watched global debut. It also ranked as the #1 global Paramount+ original in 2024.

Season 3 follows Dwight (Stallone) as his empire grows in Tulsa. He faces conflict with the Dunmires, a powerful old-money family. The cast includes Martin Starr, Jay Will, Annabella Sciorra, Neal McDonough, Robert Patrick, Dana Delany, Frank Grillo, Garrett Hedlund, and Bella Heathcote. Jackson appears in a guest role before leading NOLA King.

At the premiere, Stallone confirmed the renewal and reflected on the show’s success. “It’s overwhelming, it’s incredible,” he told Entertainment Tonight, adding that he continues to draw inspiration for future seasons.
