Eva Mendes recently opened up on how she and Ryan Gosling make time for their date nights amid their busy careers and parental responsibilities. She revealed that they like going to places that don’t garner much public attention, while revealing a specific place that they usually prefer to go. In 2022, Mendes seemingly confirmed that they had gotten married secretly.

In a conversation with PEOPLE, Mendes, who came to promote One Last Thing, spoke about how she and Gosling manage to spend quality time together amid busy schedules and parenting. She said, “Yeah, we do have date nights regularly.” When asked what these dates usually entail, she stated, “All the unmentionables. I don’t know what else to say. We like movies, and we like going to the movies, so we try to keep that alive.”

She shared how the fans don’t bother them and are respectful whenever they come across the duo in a public place. “People are usually cool. If you want attention, you go to certain places, and if you don’t, you know where to go. We do the latter,” she elaborated.

Gosling and Mendes’ paths crossed in 2011 on the sets of The Place Beyond the Pines. In the movie, they played love interests, Luke and Romina. Their dating rumors emerged when they were spotted casually hanging out at Disneyland’s California Adventure Park. While they kept their bond secret, they did make a low-key appearance together on the red carpet of The Place Beyond the Pines to promote it at the TIFF Awards.

In September 2014, they welcomed their first daughter, Esmeralda Amada Gosling, and in 2016, the second one came, whose name was Amada Lee Gosling. In late 2022, during her appearance on Channel 9’s Today, she appeared to confirm her marital status while speaking about a filming experience in the country, referring to Gosling as her “husband.” “Everyone is so welcoming here, and my husband, Ryan, is here, and we are having the best time,” she added.
