It’s no surprise that Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) is finding life hard outside of prison in Emmerdale.

She’s returned to no home and no farm, and a husband who has so much on his mind, he’s barely recognisable as the Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) everyone knows and loves.

Everything feels up in the air for her and she’s not adjusting well to her new normal.

Feeling utterly lost, and shattered at the destruction of Holly’s memorial, Moira finds herself drawn to the former Butlers Farm to suspend belief that she’s had to let it go.

This frustrates Cain, who’s gone about setting up a farm at the Dingles for her to work. Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) – the man whose fault it was Moira was behind bars – is feeling incredibly guilty by her need to help him rather than her own husband.

Robert’s at breaking point, and as Moira notices something is up, one question too many pushes him over the edge. He confesses the whole sorry affair – that Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) made him plant the IDs that got her arrested for trafficking.

Up Next

Moira is stunned and immediately tells him he has to go to the police, but when Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) learns of Robert’s confession, he heads straight to Moira to talk her out of her ultimatum. He has some mighty powers of persuasion as she agrees, citing that Cain doesn’t need the stress right now.

Aaron then reminds Moira that Robert was not the mastermind behind the plan that sent her to jail, and they are words that could land Moira right back there.

As the darkness takes hold, Moira grabs a shotgun and heads straight up to Home Farm. Graham (Andrew Scarborough) intercepts her, buts she is determined to get justice for the horrors Joe has inflicted on her family.

Joe manages to walk away without being shot, but Moira finds another way to destroy his life

The next day, she bumps into Dawn (Olivia Bromley), who is already having doubts about her fiancé’s increasingly abhorrent behaviour. Moira confronts her about him being responsible for her imprisonment and Dawn is left shaken.

As she processes what Moira has said, Dawn realises that she needs to know more.
