BBC's Sherlock is an excellent modern adaptation of the Sherlock Holmes story, but don't sleep on Elementary, which is actually an even better interpretation of the famous tale. There have been a lot of recent adaptations of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes story, with Sherlock as one of the most recognizable.
