Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 Cast Brings Back Oscar-Nominated Star

An Oscar-nominated star will be returning for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2.

Developed by Clyde Phillips, Dexter: Resurrection premiered on Paramount+ with Showtime in July 2025. A sequel series to Dexter and Dexter: New Blood, the show sees Michael C. Hall reprise his role as Dexter Morgan. The cast also includes Uma Thurman as Charley Brown, Jack Alcott as Harrison Morgan, David Zayas as Angel Batista, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, James Remar as Harry Morgan, Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater, and more.

Dexter: Resurrection was renewed for a second season this past October. It was recently announced that Succession’s Brian Cox was joining the show’s cast. He will be playing Don Framt, also known as the serial killer the New York Ripper.

Per Deadline, it has now been announced that Thurman will officially be returning for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2.

The article explains, “Charley is the former Special Ops officer who served as Leon Prater’s (Peter Dinklage) right-hand woman. Last season, after discovering Prater’s betrayal, Charley parted ways with the twisted billionaire and fled the city. Without Prater, will she be friend or foe to Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Thurman received a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her performance in 1994’s Pulp Fiction, while she also scored an Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series Emmy nomination for 2012’s Smash. She won a Golden Globe Award for 2002’s Hysterical Blindness, while her filmography also includes 1991’s Robin Hood, 1997’s Batman & Robin, 2001’s Tape, 2003’s Kill Bill: Volume 1, 2004’s Kill Bill: Volume 2, 2010’s Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, 2015’s Burnt, 2023’s Red, White & Royal Blue, 2025’s The Old Guard 2, and more.
