A decomposing body was found in an impounded Tesla belonging to the singer D4vd on Monday (September 8) in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles police were called to the impound lot on account of a ‘foul odour coming from a vehicle’, the police force said in a statement.

Officers on the scene found possible human remains and subsequently launched an investigation.

The Tesla vehicle was reportedly impounded after it had been abandoned.

Los Angeles Police Captain Robert Peters said the vehicle had been held at the lot for a few days.

Video from the station showed yellow police tape surrounding the car, which is registered to the charting singer D4vd.

Officers are said to have found the remains in a bag in the trunk of the Tesla at Hollywood Tow, NBC Los Angeles reported.

The publication reported that the remains were not intact and that identification would be delayed on account of the decomposition.

ABC 7 Eyewitness News has reported that the 2023 Tesla is registered to D4vd, 20, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke, in Hempstead, Texas.

D4vd is in the midst of his Withered world tour and had a show scheduled at The Fillmore Minneapolis on Tuesday night.

Metro contacted D4vd’s representatives for comment.
