DC's Absolute Superman recreates the DCEU's most divisive character decision twelve years after Zack Snyder's Man of Steel. Superman has remained the same hopeful and selfless hero across most of his many interpretations over the decades. However, some of them are darker than others. Absolute Superman is particularly gritty, set in a universe where despair reigns.
