Despite the popularity of the Dark Souls franchise and the calls for a fourth installment, FromSoftware is keeping silent about the highly anticipated Dark Souls 4. However, following the success of Elden Ring in recent years, it is no wonder that the studio wants to focus on what many consider to be its magnum opus, and so a continuation of the Dark Souls franchise may be far off into the future. However, it is not all doom and gloom as, alongside the upcoming release of The Duskbloodsfor the Nintendo Switch 2, another launch is guaranteed to scratch that Dark Souls 4 itch.
