Coronation Street spoilers confirm huge fire at Roy’s Rolls next week

What begins as a quiet night quickly takes a worrying turn, proving once again that calm never lasts long on the Street.

After feeling under the weather, Roy decides to turn in early, opting out of his bat watch meeting and heading home to rest. Once inside, he realises there’s been a power cut. Ever thoughtful, he tells Jodie to take the day off before going upstairs to bed, hoping to sleep off whatever’s troubling him.

But outside, things are about to escalate fast. Carla, Dev and Bernie suddenly spot smoke pouring from Roy’s flat – and it’s clear this is no minor issue. Panic sets in as the trio realise the situation is far more serious than it first appeared.

There’s an initial assumption that Roy has already made it out safely. However, the truth is far more alarming. Roy remains inside, unconscious and completely unaware of the danger, as thick smoke begins to engulf the flat.

With every passing moment, the urgency increases. Will anyone realise in time to get to him before it’s too late?

Fans demand Roy Cropper survives upcoming blaze

As news of the storyline spreads, Coronation Street fans have wasted no time sharing their fears – and their hopes that Roy makes it through.

Many viewers have taken to X to insist the beloved character cannot be killed off, stressing just how important he is to the fabric of the show.

One fan wrote: “[Bleep], if Roy isn’t able to walk Carla down the aisle, I will get to the cobbles myself and kill whoever set that fire then again, it might be a wedding miracle for him to get better just in time.”

Another added: “Roy can’t die, he’s the Street’s unofficial counsellor.”

A third viewer posted: “Nope. Not having it. Leave our Roy alone!!”

Meanwhile, one fan even imagined a heartbreaking outcome, sharing: “What if the fire is so bad Roy knows he won’t make it out alive so he lays on the bed in the flat and Hayley comes and lays next to him and then he passes away?”

With emotions already running high, all eyes are now on how the storyline will unfold. Will Roy make it out alive, or is Weatherfield about to lose one of its most treasured residents? Viewers will have to keep watching to find out.
