Controversial unfinished mural in Providence to be taken down (Iryna Zarutska)

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The Dark Lady is no longer moving forward with a controversial mural that was being painted on the side of the building. The popular Providence LGBTQ+ nightclub announced in a social media post Monday evening that management has made the decision to discontinue the mural and “move forward with removal as soon as possible.” The Dark Lady had been working with artist Ian Gaudreau, who was in the process of painting the mural on the Snow Street building.
