Bandai Namco offered new details about the Code Vein 2 DLC Mask of Idris and its version of Lou MagMell alongside a release date. The expansion appears on September 9, 2026. However, ahead of that, there’s a new teaser trailer and a refresher video with spoilers for the main Code Vein 2 campaign to help prepare people for the add-on.

In Mask of Idris, our avatar goes into the Forsaken World to fix and deal with the Forsaken World’s issues. There will be two Revenants there who can act as allies. One is the Temporal Rift Guardian Liv Voda, who is entirely new to the game. The other is the returning Code Vein 2 character Lou MagMell. However, the latest update confirms she is a different version of the Revenant we know, and she has a whole new story we’ll go through as we fight alongside her and Liv. As a reminder, you can’t get to this story until you get the Luna Fraterna ending.

Editor’s Note: There will be spoilers for Code Vein 2 and in one of the videos below.

Now first, here’s the new Code Vein 2 “Story Recap” video that includes spoilers for the main campaign and its characters. That spends almost 12 minutes going over the main character’s journey alongside the original Lou MagMell and other Revenants on their campaign to change history.

The teaser for Mask of Idris is substantially shorter. It focuses on showing a player character with newcomer Liv Voda and a teaser for the new Lou MagMell, then shows the release date.

Code Vein 2 is available on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Mask of Idris DLC expansion will launch on September 9, 2026.
