Classic Kingdom Hearts Games Set Modern Console Rerelease in New Trailer

A beloved trio of action RPGs from the PlayStation 2 era is coming to the PS5. Square Enix announced the news today as part of a surprising new batch of news.

Kingdom Hearts 1-3 Collection arriving on the PS5 later this year

During Nintendo’s Direct, Square Enix surprised fans by appearing and announcing a brand new Kingdom Hearts Collection. The new collection will present fans with a streamlined, all-in-one bundle of the first three Kingdom Hearts games, all available natively on current-generation consoles.

The new collection will include Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX-, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III plus its Re Mind DLC, and will be available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC beginning on October 8, 2026.

The collection will also include a litany of other content in the new games. These include a ton of content from other spin-off titles in the Kingdom Hearts franchise. The full list of inclusions in the upcoming collection are:
