As one of the most bankable filmmakers working today, Christopher Nolan is no stranger to elaborate productions, A-list casts, and budgets that stretch into the hundreds of millions of dollars. But before there were blockbusters like The Odyssey, Oppenheimer, or The Dark Knight trilogy, there was 1998’s Following, Nolan’s first feature film. And while it may lack the budget and star power of Nolan’s later offerings, it still offers a taut, paranoid thriller that would help set the foundation for the filmmaker’s future projects.
