Chris Pratt’s Western With a 'Yellowstone' Star Finds a New Streaming Home 10 Years Later

It shows how drastically the landscape changed for the Western genre in just five years that a star-studded movie could underperform at the box-office in 2016 and a show could become the biggest hit on streaming just two years later. Coincidentally, both titles shared one cast member — Luke Grimes. The show, of course, is YellowstoneTaylor Sheridan's magnum opus that has spawned a franchise for Paramount+. The movie, on the other hand, is a remake of a 1960 classic directed by John Sturges and starring Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, and Charles Bronson. The 1960 Western was itself a remake of Akira Kurosawa's classic epic Seven Samurai, which also inspired Star Wars.
