‘Categorically False’: Jared Leto Denies Sexual Assault Allegations, Offers Statement

Jared Leto has denied the sexual assault allegations made against him by several women. Leto said that the allegations were “categorically false” in his statement following the release of a new BBC documentary.

Leto provided the statement through his representatives to Variety, stating, “I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false.” It’s not the first time that Leto has faced allegations of sexual assault. Last year, Los Angeles-based DJ Allie Teilz allegedly accused Leto of sexual misconduct, which led to other women coming forward with similar accounts in a report from Air Mail. Leto also denied the allegations made in last year’s report.

Earlier today, the BBC released Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Darkest Secret, a documentary in which 10 women came forward alleging sexual assault by Leto. In the same documentary, four women alleged that the offenses occurred when they were teenagers. One of the women said she was sexually assaulted in a motel bathroom when she was 17. Another woman said that she had underage sexual relations with Leto. A third woman alleged the actor-musician had made sexually suggestive remarks towards her when she attended one of his concerts at 14.

One woman claimed she was sent a non-disclosure agreement that barred her from talking about her relationship with Leto when she was 16. The BBC said that it had corroborated several of these accounts with their “friends and family who were told about the encounters with Leto at the time.” The publication also said that it had “seen pictures and messages that support the women’s accounts.”

Jared Leto was notably absent from promoting his latest film, 2026’s Masters of the Universe, and is set to tour Europe and the UK in 2027 with his rock band, Thirty Seconds to Mars.
