Casualty’s Naomi Chaya Wakszlak has confirmed she’s given birth.

The actress joined the cast of the BBC One medical drama in December 2024 as enthuasistic young paramedic Indie Jankowski.

Naomi, who is 27, recently took to Instagram to share the wonderful news that she’s now welcomed the arrival of her first baby. The star shared two pictures of her and the little tot, who is wearing a black outfit with white socks and hat.

Looking cool already, tbh.

’05-04-26′, Naomi wrote in the caption.

‘Everything is different and maybe it’s better actually and I can’t wait to tell you everything kid so LISTEN UP!!’.

Naomi’s friends and Casualty co-stars immediately took to the comments to share some lovely congratulatory messages.

Sarah Seggari, who plays Rida Amaan, said: ‘The happiest news ever ever ever I’m sooo proud of youuuuuu’.

Kirsty Mitchell, aka Faith Cadogan, added: ‘Congratulations angel face. Loads and loads of love and hugs to you all x’.

Milo Clarke, who plays Indie’s paramedic colleague Teddy Gowan, wrote: ‘Gorgeous gorgeous’.

Naomi’s Casualty character Indie has landed in quite a bit of drama since she became a permanent member of Team 3006, but boss Jan Jennings (Di Botcher) often recognises her big heart and how she usually tries to do the right thing.

Indie recently started seeing nurse Cam Mickelthwaite, played by Bradley Walsh’s son Barney Walsh.

She works alongside Teddy, Jan, plus Iain Dean (Michael Stevenson) and Jacob Masters (Charles Venn).

The BBC One show will return to our screens tomorrow evening after a two-week break.

The instalment will be the penultimate in the latest boxset Learning Curve, which has introduced two new doctors Matty Linklater (Aaron Julius) and Kim Chang (Jasmine Bayes).
