The exchange confirmed in a press release shared with Coindoo, that its mobile app is once again fully available on both the App Store and Google Play, while its website is being restored in phases and expected to be fully operational within the next few days. This move follows months of close coordination with Indian regulators and the Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND), where Bybit registered earlier this year as a reporting entity under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Compliance and Services Return

With compliance measures in place, Indian traders now regain access to Bybit’s full suite of products, including spot trading, derivatives, options trading, and copy trading. The exchange emphasized that Know Your Customer (KYC) verification and enhanced custody safeguards will remain central to its operations in India, ensuring both security and transparency for its rapidly growing user base.

Bybit had gradually resumed trading features earlier in February 2025 for authorized users, but complete accessibility for the wider community only became possible after extended regulatory engagement.

Co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou described the development as more than a simple relaunch, stating that India represents one of the most promising digital asset markets globally. Country Manager Vikas Gupta added that Bybit’s ambitions extend beyond trading, pointing to blockchain education, partnerships, and grassroots initiatives as part of its long-term strategy.

Expanding Community and Educational Efforts

Alongside the relaunch, Bybit has been ramping up its engagement with India’s blockchain community. The company signed on as Title Sponsor of the India Blockchain Tour 2025, which began in Hyderabad in June and will continue in New Delhi later this month. These events aim to foster broader public awareness and understanding of blockchain technologies while connecting developers, investors, and regulators.

To further incentivize adoption, Bybit has also reintroduced its flagship competition, the World Series of Trading (WSOT) 2025. This year’s edition features reward campaigns ranging from welcome bonuses for new users to high-value prizes such as cars, iPhones, and other incentives designed to attract both seasoned and first-time participants.

A Renewed Chapter for Bybit in India

Bybit’s return to full capacity in India comes at a time when regulators are paying closer attention to crypto compliance frameworks, particularly around KYC and anti-money laundering safeguards. By proactively aligning with these requirements, the exchange aims to position itself as a long-term partner in India’s emerging digital asset economy.

“This is not simply a comeback—it’s a new chapter,” said Zhou, underscoring Bybit’s goal to provide a secure and transparent experience while actively contributing to the country’s evolving crypto ecosystem.
