BRCA Movie Love, Danielle Sets Digital Release Date | Exclusive

ComingSoon can exclusively reveal the Love, Danielle digital release date for Freestyle Digital Media’s new comedy drama movie. The film follows a woman who tests positive for a BRCA gene mutation, which puts her at high risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer. Directed by Marianna Palka, the film stars Devin Sidell, who also co-wrote the script with Steven Sears. It is loosely based on Sidell’s experience with the BRCA gene mutation.

“Love, Danielle follows Danielle (Sidell), a bakery owner navigating the life-altering choice of removing her breasts and ovaries to reduce her cancer risk after testing positive for a BRCA gene mutation. Her older sister Amy (Jaime King) is already undergoing chemotherapy for a breast cancer diagnosis, adding urgency to Danielle’s journey.  As she contemplates what to do, Danielle juggles her marriage and her relationship with her recovering alcoholic mother (Lesley Ann Warren) and self-absorbed TV star father (Barry Bostwick). What unfolds is a story of personal agency, family dynamics, and learning to listen to your inner voice,” says the synopsis.

When is the Love, Danielle digital release Date?

Love, Danielle will make its digital debut on North American VOD platforms and DVD starting October 3, 2025. This comes after Freestyle Digital Media negotiated the deal to acquire the movie with the filmmakers and Glen Reynolds of Circus Road Films.

“I wanted to create a film that shows the strange reality and, at times, bizarre humor of having to make choices to remove parts of your body in order to prevent a cancer diagnosis,” said Sidell of the film. “So many people are facing this decision, and we aren’t talking about it.”

The cast of the movie also includes Jaime King as Amy, Lesley Ann Warren as Candie, Michael Roark as Pat, Barry Bostwick as Bryce, Ian Owens as Rob, Palka as Misty, Larry Clarke as Dr. Morgan, Raymond Cruz as Stan, Kim Coles as Ellen, and Kelly Jenrette as Char.
