New teasers from Spider-Man: Brand New Day have revealed Peter Parker wielding a familiar villain’s weapon against a mind-controlled Hulk. It also gave a frosty glimpse of a classic foe finally suited up. The upcoming Phase 6 film is anticipated to be one of the web-slinger’s most chaotic summer adventures yet.
Spider-Man fights Hulk with a familiar weapon in Brand New Day footage
The latest internationa teaser spot throws viewers straight into a brutal downtown brawl. A Savage Hulk, seemingly controlled by Sadie Sink’s mysterious character, charges at Spider-Man. Previous tie-in toy descriptions have already confirmed this is the mindless “Savage Hulk” persona.
The most intriguing detail of the Spider-Man: Brand New Day teaser, however, is fixed to Peter’s wrist. He counters the Green Goliath with a makeshift gauntlet that discharges powerful electric currents.
The design immediately points to the signature weapon of Shocker. Bokeem Woodbine played the villain, Herman Schultz, in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and rumours have been swirling for months that he would reappear. Although Sony and Marvel Studios have not formally announced Woodbine’s return, this hardware suggests the criminal underworld’s tech is finding a second life.
Furthermore, it also confirmed Spider-Man won’t face the Avenger alone. A blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment showed Jon Bernthal’s Punisher. It marks a gritty team-up that finally brings the Marvel-Netflix veteran into the cinematic fold alongside Tom Holland’s hero.
Spider-Man and Scorpion fight in snow
Another piece of footage, shared by Sony Pictures Korea, changes gears from a gamma rage to icy terrain. A snow-covered NYC sequence reveals a fully costumed Scorpion joining the fray. Michael Mando, who first appeared as Mac Gargan in Homecoming, is finally suiting up to give his poisonous sting.
While plot specifics remain locked, the inclusion of the Hand, a shadowy organization from The Defenders saga, has also been confirmed, alongside minor foes like Tombstone, Tarantula, and Boomerang. With Spider-Man: Brand New Day swinging into cinemas on 31 July, Peter Parker clearly has a gauntlet of enemies to survive before the credits roll.
