Marvel Studios unveiled the first full trailer for Avengers: Doomsday at CinemaCon, providing a greater glimpse at the upcoming MCU movie. The footage comes four months after four distinct character-centric teasers dropped in theaters and online. However, it has sparked mixed reactions among fans, split into two camps.

Fans reacted to Avengers: Doomsday trailer in two ways

Marvel Studios, The Russo Brothers, Robert Downey Jr., and Chris Evans showed up to CinemaCon to unveil the first full trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. The clip finally revealed Downey’s take on Doctor Doom.

It also featured appearances from characters like Professor X, Thor, the Fantastic Four, New Avengers, and Namor. Further, some fights were showcased, including one between Gambit and Shang-Chi and another involving Mystique and Yelena Belova, with the former shapeshifting into the latter.

The clip drew mixed reactions among fans. Several lauded everything shown and highlighted the audience’s excitement, promising an incredible experience. One fan summed up the response to the trailer with just one word: “INSANE.”

Meanwhile, one said that the footage gave him “goosebumps.” He added that the film could be a “major reset” for Marvel following their lacklustre quality in recent years.

The hype after the Avengers: Doomsday trailer at CinemaCon is insane. The crowd completely lost it, and the footage genuinely gave me goosebumps. It feels like it’s bringing back what the MCU has been lacking and could mark a major reset for Marvel Studios.

Elsewhere, a fan, who said they saw the trailer twice, shared that it “fully exceeded [their] expectations.” In their video, they described it as “electrifying” before quickly highlighting the parts that impressed them the most, which included Shang-Chi and Gambit’s fight sequence, Yelena going up against Mystique, Thor being on the Fantastic Four’s ship, and him meeting Steve Rogers, who grabs Stormbreaker from him.

However, not everyone was happy, especially those who were unable to see the footage. One expressed frustration about not being among those who got to see the trailer.
