What happens in the Stitch Head trailer?
The video features the voice of Asa Butterfield (Hugo, Ender’s Game) as the voice of the titular Frankenstein-inspired young monster. It introduces Stitch Head as the main attraction of a carnival show. Despite appearing like a human boy, the audience is still scared of him due to his facial stitches. In addition, the video also teases the introduction of Stitch Head’s fellow monsters.
“High above the little town of Grubbers Nubbin, in a castle laboratory, the maddest of all mad professors brings monstrous creations to (almost) life… and then promptly forgets all about them,” reads the official synopsis. “So, who runs the castle? Who keeps the monsters in line, so the townsfolk don’t form an angry mob? That job falls to Stitch Head—the professor’s very first creation. He does it all, unnoticed and unthanked. But when a ramshackle freak show rolls into town, its sly owner, Fulbert Freakfinder, comes knocking, offering Stitch Head fame, fortune… and maybe even love.”
Stitch Head is described as a whimsical, heartfelt twist on the Frankenstein legend. The movie also features the voices of Joel Fry, Alison Steadman, Rob Brydon, Fern Brady, Tia Bannon, and Jamali Maddix. It is written and directed by Steve Hudson, with Sonja Ewers and Mark Mertens serving as producers. Executive producers are Adam Nagle, Mark Rau, Guy Collins, Tom Ortenberg, Ronnie Exley, Jeremy Ross, and Oli Strong.
