If your favorite series is successful, chances are it will get its own spin-off. This has become an inevitability of television in the streaming era, but studios still struggle to crack the formula. After all, if the original series is a hit, it doesn't necessarily mean the spin-off will be, too. One of the latest and greatest to get this treatment is Apple TV's incredible sci-fi show For All Mankind. Its spin-off, Star City, has nearly finished airing its first season, and, in many ways, is just as good as the original (and sometimes even better). It has quickly earned the fandom's love and has become a case of how to successfully make a spin-off for a series that's already practically perfect.
