What a week it's shaping up to be for fans of sci-fi, with Steven Spielberg making his long-awaited return to the genre after nearly a decade. Spielberg's new movie, Disclosure Day, opened to positive reviews and exceeded box-office expectations this week. It follows a handful of characters who must decide whether to reveal to the world that aliens exist among us. While there's one obvious companion piece that fans of Spielbergian sci-fi can be certain to check out in their excitement for Disclosure Day — Netflix's The Boroughs — there's another show that shares the same DNA as Spielberg's movie, but has largely remained under the radar for the last two years. The series premiered on Apple TV in 2024, disarming audiences with a twist so out of left field that some were turned off entirely.
