What a year it’s been for Anya Taylor-Joy so far, as her first feature film of the year was also the first to cross the $1 billion milestone at the global box office. The film in question is The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, where she voices Princess Peach, as she did in the 2023 Chris Pratt-led blockbuster, The Super Mario Bros. Movie. After starring in The Gorge last year with Miles Teller, ATJ has some big projects coming later this year. Not least of which is Dune: Part Three, the massive sci-fi blockbuster coming to theaters on December 18, the same day as Avengers: Doomsday. Taylor-Joy had a brief role in the 2024 film, Dune: Part Two, but the 17-year time jump allows her to step into a much larger role in the sci-fi trilogy-capper.
