Hearts are broken and lives are endangered next week in Emmerdale as one villager gets stood up by her fiancé leaving her broken, while another stands up to her boss, leaving her in grave danger.
The reappearance of Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) throws a spanner into the works of Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) and Vinny Dingle’s (Bradley Johnson) already spanner-heavy wedding. While Bernice reminds Gabby of a secret that could destroy her wedding, Vinny is suffocating under the weight of Mike’s threat.
Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) and April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) find themselves dragged ever deeper into Ray Walters’ (Joe Absolom) underworld and when April speaks up, she finds herself in grave danger, while elsewhere Dr. Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) is bothered by a medical problem.

A sweet moment turns instantly sour as Gabby’s wedding party coo over her when she comes downstairs in her gown, though the arrival of Bernice makes things incredibly awkward.
Bernice proceeds to hint at a secret Gabby is keeping that would make her upcoming wedding a mistake, leaving her deeply conflicted.
Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) is riddled with guilt over Vinny’s anxiety-wracked state following Mike’s (Macaulay Cooper) threat, made worse when Gabby arrives to tell him that something is very wrong and has been for a while.
As a quickly-spiralling Vinny heads away, Gabby is left to tell Bernice that she didn’t put a stop to the wedding and furthermore, asks her brother, Arthur Thomas (Alfie Clarke) to walk her down the aisle, to which he agrees.
Elsewhere, Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) and Ross Barton (Michael Parr) are deeply intrigued when Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) delivers a contract for them to consider.
Meanwhile, Liam is deeply embarrassed when Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson) finds him having a wee at the allotment.
Tuesday, September 16
Gabby and Vinny’s wedding spins into disaster when Kammy is left to inform the bride that the groom is nowhere to be found.
While Kammy leaves Vinny a worried voicemail, Gabby reels as she’s left alone on her wedding day.
Where is Vinny?
Liam opens up and explains that he’s been having issues holding his bladder.
While Claudette is adamant that he seek help, Liam is quick to shrug his symptoms off.
Undeterred, Claudette (rather forcibly) implores Liam to book a doctors appointment to get his issues checked.
Wednesday, September 17
Bernice opens up to Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) about the negative reception she’s received since her return, namely from daughter Gabby and sister Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler).
Bob comforts her, and sensing an opportunity to build some bridges, she invites him to share a bottle of wine, and they soon get to reminiscing about their lost love.
Is the flame between them still burning?
Thursday, September 18
April’s attempt at another drug drop goes spectacularly wrong when she’s noticed by a patrolling PC Swirling (Andy Whittaker).
As she talks herself out of the situation, she’s struck when Swirling insists on giving her a lift home.
When she arrives home, Rhona Dingle (Zoe Henry) is baffled, though is placated by a guilty April.
Following an interview at the depot, Dylan sweats when Ray reveals his doubts over April’s ability to carry out drug drops and is deeply concerned that she’ll spill the tea on the drug operation to Swirling.
He later plants his foot squarely in it when he repeats Ray’s doubts to April, who rages at her involvement in the whole thing. As Dylan reminds her of why they’re doing what they’re doing, to get their own flat, April absconds, leaving Dylan kicking himself.
Has the drug dealing destroyed their young romance?
Friday, September 19
April softens toward Dylan when she realises just how beholden to Ray he is. When summoned by their boss, the two head away to a nearby layby to meet him.
April shows no fear of the drug lord when she forcefully asks him when their debt will be repaid. When Ray insists that only April will be required for their next drop and drives her away in his car, Dylan is panicked.
Will April’s courage come back to bite her?
