Alien: Earth is the first television series in the Alien franchise, and it's garnered steady viewership and praise over the past month or so since it started airing. It's set two years before the first film, and follows the corporations Weyland-Yutani and Prodigy fighting over who gets to keep Weyland-Yutani's ship full of alien species that crashed into a Prodigy city on Earth. Another storyline is that Prodigy's CEO essentially invents immortality, which the show examines more than the scientists examine those alien species.
