Alan Ritchson Is Set to Take Over Hollywood With 4 Huge Releases in Next 2 Months

Alan Ritchson is about to have one of his busiest stretches yet. Four major projects will arrive across theaters and streaming soon. The actor is leading two action films while also returning to his famous action show. Between late July and mid-September, audiences will see him headline multiple releases across both film and television.

The run begins with Motor City, which opens in theaters on July 24 after premiering at the 2025 Venice International Film Festival. Directed by Potsy Ponciroli, the revenge thriller stars Ritchson as John Miller, a Detroit factory worker framed by a ruthless gangster.

The film also features Shailene Woodley, Pablo Schreiber and Ben Foster. Foster previously described the movie to Collider as “virtually silent,” with the story relying on action and a powerful rock soundtrack instead of lengthy dialogue.

Less than three weeks later, Reacher Season 4 premieres on Prime Video on August 12. Based on Lee Child’s Gone Tomorrow, the new season follows Jack Reacher after a shocking subway suicide pulls him into a conspiracy involving terrorists and government secrets.

Ritchson has already teased an action-heavy season, saying it contains many fight scenes. The eight-episode season also brings back Maria Sten as Neagley while adding Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette and Sydelle Noel to the cast (via Men’s Journal).

Ritchson then returns to theaters with Runner on September 11. Directed by Scott Waugh, the action thriller casts him as former soldier Hank Malone, who has just three hours to deliver a life-saving organ for a young girl while escaping criminals trying to steal it. According to Deadline, Owen Wilson and Rodrigo Santoro also star.

Just days later, on September 16, Neagley debuts on Prime Video. The spin-off follows Frances Neagley investigating a friend’s suspicious death in Chicago, with Ritchson confirmed to appear as Jack Reacher (via Collider).

Before becoming synonymous with Jack Reacher, Ritchson earned fans through roles in Blue Mountain State, Titans, Fast X, and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. He is also set to reunite with Arnold Schwarzenegger later this year in The Man with the Bag.
