Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra have been one of the most popular on-screen couples in the industry. Their chemistry sizzled on our screens continuously with amazing work and gave us some really iconic movies and pairings. They have appeared in several films together, like Waqt, Andaaz, Aitraaz, and others. But rumours about their alleged relationship kept swirling and were the biggest headlines of the time. The rumours were so strong that at one point, the two stopped working altogether to avoid any conversations like that. Recently, in a podcast with Hindi Rush, veteran journalist Pooja Samant discussed their alleged relationship and what went wrong between Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra.
Speaking about the two, she said, "Jab maine Suneel Darshan ka interview kiya tha, Andaaz 2 ke liye tab unhone yeh baat kahi thi ki Akshay Kumar Priyanka Chopra ke saath film nahi karna chahte kyunki unki nazdeeki rishton ke baare mein unke parivar walon ko aapatti hogayi thi. So he did not move ahead. Unhone Priyanka Chopra ke saath aage filmein nahi ki, kam hi ki."
Akshay Kumar, on the other hand, addressed the issue in an episode of Aap Ki Adalat and spoke about not working with Priyanka Chopra anymore. He said, "There is nothing like that. I have worked on five films with Priyanka. It's not like I don't want to work with her. Except for Rani Mukerji, I have worked with every heroine. If there is an opportunity, I will surely work with Priyanka Chopra. Let us call Priyanka Chopra and check if she has an issue with me. That way, you will know for sure."
Akshay Kumar recently celebrated his 58th birthday on September 9. Staying true to his discipline and lifestyle, the celebration started at 7 am, as revealed by his wife, Twinkle Khanna. She gave fans a rare glimpse into their celebration by sharing a joyful picture where the two of them were seen posing with a giant cutout of a Joker playing card.
