In 2024, the re-release of Christopher Nolan’s science fiction epic Interstellar was a theatrical sensation, quickly becoming the highest-grossing IMAX re-release of all time in the United States. And now perhaps it’s time for another space adventure to return to the movies’ biggest screen. Just one year prior to Interstellar’s release,Alfonso Cuaron’sGravity was also a box office success and a 10-time Oscar nominee, even winning Cuaron a statue for Best Director. But in 2023, its 10th anniversary came and went without much acknowledgment. It’s a shame, because Gravity was made for and best experienced in the most immersive environment possible, and it’s high time the film returned to theaters.
