Like any iconic science fiction franchise, Doctor Whohas developed certain traits that make it stand out from the pack. The Doctor often travels through time and space in the TARDIS, encountering alien forces along the way. More often than not, a series of companions will join the Doctor and find their lives irrevocably changed. Every so often, the Doctor will regenerate into a new form, giving a new actor the chance to put their mark on the iconic character.
