The ABC police procedural, The Rookie, is one of the most beloved shows on television at the moment. A long-running crime drama with many beloved characters to get behind, the series is well into its eighth season. However, while its latest episode left behind a bad aftertaste for many viewers, the show remains a darling of television. To that effect, expectations are high as we draw ever closer to the premiere of its upcoming sequel, The Rookie: North, which will take the franchise in a new direction.
