Excitement was high for the big-screen arrival of Pedro Pascal's titular bounty hunter and his ever-hungry companion, but the viral success of ambitious competitors has sent The Mandalorian and Grogu down the domestic ranks. In its second weekend, the film managed just $24 million in U.S. ticket sales, a disastrous 70% week-by-week drop compared to its debut.
