In a perfect world, remaking a comedy film should be the easiest thing in the world, as one simply has to follow the template of the original film in order to find the same level of comedic greatness that enticed audiences in the first place. However, the truth of the matter is that comedy is rarely ever as funny when repeated, so it becomes up to the remake to distinguish or even evolve the original material for both new and already existing audiences. While several comedy remakes have found great success and even surpassed the original, this certainly isn't the case for all comedy remakes.
