David Fincheris best known for making intense psychological thrillers and crime dramas, which is why his 2020 drama Mankstands as one of the most fascinating projects of his entire career. Based on a screenplay written by his late father, Jack Fincher, Mank tells the story of how legendary screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz (Gary Oldman) disrupted the Hollywood power structure while writing Citizen Kane, which would go on to be heralded as one of the best films ever made.
