Although you could make a strong case for The Sopranos or The Wire, Breaking Bad is usually the first title that comes up when naming the greatest TV shows ever made. So few shows have even told a coherent story with a clear beginning, middle, and end, without being cancelled too soon or dragging out their run beyond its natural stopping point. But Breaking Bad’s pilot episode started telling one single story, with one singular vision at the helm, and five seasons later, that exact same story, with the exact same vision, came to a satisfying conclusion.
