29 Years Later, 'South Park' Is Finally Fixing Its Biggest Problem

Few television shows have quite the impact that South Park has. Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the crudely made animated series first premiered on Comedy Central all the way back in the 1990s. It was shocking to see animated kids put in so many gross and controversial storylines, but it was absolutely hilarious. South Park is more than simple laughs, though. Parker and Stone have spent three decades holding up a mirror to society, commenting on the woes of our world with biting satire. In Seasons 27 and 28, South Park took their social commentary to the next level with an arc that took on the administration of President Donald Trump. The series was better than ever and had everyone talking, but there was just one problem. Weekly episodes gave way to a format where no one knew when the next chapter would be released. Thankfully, a new development is fixing this for Season 29.
