Donny Osmond's career was a roller coaster, beginning with a meteoric rise in the 1960s and 70s as part of The Osmonds, a very fruitful solo career full of top ten songs, and an eventual comeback with the 1989 single "Soldier of Love," years after his height as a teen idol had passed. While he's since continued releasing new music as recently as 2021, the singer eventually became a recurring presence on television, including with his own variety show, Donny & Marie, guest starring roles on series like The Love Boat, and hosting gigs. It was his brief stint running Pyramid, however, that eventually landed him on the legendary sitcom Friends in Season 10. He reprised his hosting duties for an in-universe episode of the game show that featured Joey (Matt LeBlanc) as a celebrity partner and Gregory Jbara as the contestant trying to win big. According to the latter, all those years of stardom didn't stop him from being a team player, either.
