20 Years Later, One of Gundam's Biggest Sagas Is Free to Stream

2027 may feel like a long wait for the next live-action Gundam film, but it could be absolutely worth it. The adaptation is already proving to be one of the most anticipated sci-fi releases of 2027, inspired by the genre-defining classic mecha series Mobile Suit Gundam, which originally aired from April 7, 1979, to January 26, 1980. Written and directed by Jim Mickle, the upcoming space opera stars Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo, who also serve as producers, alongside Michael Mando, Shioli Kutsuna, and Jason Isaacs.
