Michael C. Hall is almost synonymous with Dexter Morgan, the character from the Showtime series Dexter for which he's best known. Since 2006, the actor has brought the morally ambiguous character to life, playing Dexter for eight seasons in the original series, and reprising him in three subsequent sequels: New Blood, Original Sin, and Resurrection. However, one of Hall's best works was in the 2001 HBO drama series Six Feet Under, in which he played David Fisher, a workaholic funeral home director. Six Feet Under has not been on the air for twenty years, but it is hailed as one of the best HBO shows of all time, and the drama always finds a new audience. The show recently found a resurgence on HBO Max, appearing in the top ten list of most-watched shows on the streamer. This is no minor feat for a show over two decades old, given the fierce competition from newer and more popular dramas.
