Superhero movies are generally meant to be light-hearted entertainment for families. Most kids, for instance, have already grown up watching Spider-Man swing across the city or Superman save the world. That's all there was about them. However, since these stories inspire hope, courage, and a sense of doing the right thing, they can also be a bit more intense.
