There's something puzzlingly irresistible about horror. These movies are meant to generate a visceral reaction in their viewers, scaring them to their core and keeping them watching the screen through their fingers as they cover their faces in fear. Surely, that's why several of the most acclaimed movies in history are horror. There are many other gems of the genre, however, that end up being forgotten about or slipping under most people's radars.
