There is a large camp of cinephiles who believe movie remakes are important for the legacy of film, as they help bring generations together through the classics in a modern lens. Then, there are those who believe if it ain't broke, don't fix it. They don't want to see a remake...ever. Especially for those that are essentially perfect.
