Disney is by far the most recognizable media conglomerate in the world. Founded in 1923 by brothers Walt and Roy O. Disney, it became the forefront animation company in North America, but began branching out in the 1950s through live-action movies and theme parks. Now, Disney has ingrained itself deep into popular culture, with hundreds of movies, TV shows, books, video games, and more based on their numerous franchises.
