Sam Neill was one of those rare prominent figures in the film world who seemed pretty much universally liked. He had an endearing and likable presence outside his acting roles, and then concerning the movies he was in, there really was a whole range of them. So, you could be someone who exclusively likes arthouse cinema, or only watches blockbusters, or be particularly into horror, and there’s a strong chance Neill’s been in at least one movie you really liked.
